My name is Karim Shah applying for Masters in Civil Engineering course offered by Greenwich University. I have completed my HSC and SSC with GPA 5.0. After completing my HSC I got my bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering in the year 2020 with a CGPA of 3.60. After graduating I started working for Shanta Developers Limited which is a leading developers company in Bangladesh. I am currently working at the company. I mainly work on different building structures and architectural work. Now, I have decided to go one step further by mastering a degree in Civil Engineering to gain more experience needed for my career life.

Since I did my bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and work for a developer’s company I would like to get my Master’s degree in Civil Engineering. Studying this course will help me gain better analytical, architectural, and management skills needed for me to work for better multinational companies in the future. Since it is a project-based course the course will focus mainly on different critical issues, and insights related to construction and architecture. I have gone through the course modules mentioned on the Greenwich University website and found the course module to be highly relevant to my previous studies and work experience. The Analysis and Management of Risk in Civil Engineering module will help me identify different issues I can face while working in the engineering sector and teach me how to overcome these issues. The Advanced Materials Engineering for Construction module will provide me with knowledge related to applications of materials within structures or superior properties.

After combing through a few different universities, I have chosen to study at Greenwich University. The university is well-known internationally for its high teaching quality, research, and diversity of students. The university is ranked 601 in the global university rankings. Compared to other universities I have found that the Greenwich university will be the best for me to study for this MSc degree in Civil Engineering. I have looked at the other universities and none of their course modules was able to impress me as much as this one. These are the main reasons why I have selected this university out of many others to choose from.

The UK is internationally a popular study destination for international students. The UK has become a great choice for the excellent quality of education that they provide. A degree from a UK university is highly privileged in countries like Bangladesh. A Master’s degree in civil engineering from Greenwich University will open the door to many great work opportunities for me in Bangladesh. Bangladesh is a developing country where civil engineering plays a vital part as there are a lot of mega projects, architectural projects, and buildings being built each year. Compared to other countries where a Master’s course duration is at least 2 years from Greenwich University I can complete the course in just 1 year. This can be a huge advantage for students like me wanting to graduate soon to start working for multinational companies in my country. After coming back to my home country I would like to work as a civil engineer for renowned gov or non-gov multinational developer companies in Bangladesh like Assure Group, Rakeen Development company, and more.

I am looking forward to being accepted into your university. I believe I can supplement my knowledge gained from Greenwich University and make a change for a better future and career. This will be a good experience for me to study with international students from all around the world. I am highly excited to contribute to my country in the development sector for an overall better future for a developing country like Bangladesh.
