Entry requirements for higher studies for the US universities

Undergraduate Students

Student from Bangladesh has to have an HSC+ One-year completion certificate from any Bangladeshi university. A study gap maximum of 1.5 years is accepted. HSC result is not below GPA 4.00 out of 5.00.

Postgraduate Students

Bachelor (Hons, BSc, BBA, BA) result not be below CGPA 3. GMAT for business course and GRE will be required.

Language Proficiency

For English medium Study: IELTS Score 6.5 minimum or ESL program with the main course.

How much time will need to get USA student visa from Bangladesh?

The USA student visa or F1 student visa usually gives a decision on the same day.  However, in some cases, they might take extra time to consider your application. If you apply with your dependent then you have to apply F1 for the student and F2 for the dependent visa.

How much do I have to pay for F1 student visa?

If are willing to apply for F1 or USA student visa from Bangladesh you will have to pay visa fee $140 USD. There are few ways to pay the visa fees

  • Pay online
  • Pay at the visa office

In addition, If you are applying for F1 visa you have to pay SAVIS fee for F1 visa $200.

How much money do I have to show in my bank account?

For F1 student visa, you need to show 1-year living expenses and 1-year full tuition fees in your account which is about 25 lac to 30 lac. However, if you have dependent you need to add just 1 years living expenses with your total fund.
