According to The Times / Sunday Times Good University Guide 2019 ranking, Heriot-Watt University is joint 17th in the UK and 1st in Scotland for graduate salaries 6 months after graduation. It is ranked in the top 800 in the world (ranked 701-800) and in the UK top 55 (ranked 46-54) by the Academic Ranking of World Universities 2020.
