Sample Statement of Purpose (SoP) for Foundation Programme in the UK
Here is a sample statement of Purpose (SoP) for Foundation Programme at the London South Bank University from a Bangladeshi student.
“Develop a passion for learning. If you do, you will never cease to grow”
-Anthony D’Angelo
The beautiful quotation stands true in all aspects of life as there is no greater wealth than a human can posse that is comparable to knowledge. A person learns throughout his life with his experiences and education. A combination of both education and experiences forms the cycle of learning and this cycle of learning is infinite. A person with a true passion for such learning holds the key to his success in his own hands.
When I arrived in the UK 2020 with hopes of furthering my education and achieving what most people want in their lives and that is being successful in every aspect of their lives. I believe that in today’s competitive and fast-paced world, a person striving to reach his goals and walking on the path of the success should keep sharpening his skills in his areas of expertise and always strive to gain knowledge. But due to Corona pandemic, I was very frustrated and upset for my family in my home country and I could not focus on my study properly. For this reason, I have failed in my foundation course. But I still believe that if I get another opportunity, I can prove myself. I firmly believe that the Foundation Programme offered by South Bank University will be Tailor-made for me to take the next step towards my career and my goals.
The South Bank University with beautiful campus gets a bonus point for my choice as the learning can be more complemented from the surrounding business and organisation that provide opportunities to experience how things happen in the real world, in practice. South Bank University is one of the leading universities in the UK offering this course full time. The university has crafted the curriculum and the learning targets to align with contemporary business and organisational needs. The learning goals have been designed to provide applied skills alongside research competencies. Gaining this qualification would be a great educational achievement for building my professional career and its development.
In fact, in terms of study and other facilities and services, Southbank University is up to my satisfaction. I think studying at this University would be a pleasing, career uplifting and rewarding experience.
Yours faithfully
